Infectious Disease - RabiesRabies is an infectious disease that can affect all mammals including humans. 100 000 people die of rabies every year. Once the symptoms begin, the disease is fatal. If a person is bitten by a suspected animal with rabies, they need to be vaccinated within the first 24 hours.
