NIS UralskI worked at The Nazarbayev Intellectual school of Uralsk from November 2013 to December 2014. My role was an advisory one, acting as mentor to local Kazakh teachers.
The programme of study was developed jointly between the University of Cambridge and the Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools within Kazakhstan. For grades 11 and 12, there may be some similarities with A-Level courses in England and Wales. Some of the content replicates materials developed for teaching the IB Diploma, while much of the content was developed specifically for the aspects covered in the NIS courses. |
